Homeward Bound, originally produced as a photobook, explores the ways in which the physical body, the home and individual possessions inform not only a single person’s identity but the identity born from a relationship between a mother and daughter. The collection blends archival and contemporary images spanning over two decades in order to depict a mother’s life and death from her daughter's perspective. Exploring themes of private vs. public life, individual and joint identity, family and loss, Homeward Bound aims to highlight the intimacy of family relationships and the complexity of the human condition.
